(Central News Agency reporter Yeh Chen, Taoyuan, June 16) The Economic Development Bureau of Taoyuan City Government announced today that Taiwan Water Corporation will implement a 21-hour water shutdown from 8:00 AM on July 21 to 5:00 AM on July 22. The outage is expected to affect approximately 15,588 households across Yangmei, Pingzhen, and Xinqu Districts.

The Bureau stated that the Second Administration Office of Taiwan Water Corporation is carrying out the 'Shimen Inside Youshi Water Supply System Improvement Project' to reduce water leakage risks and enhance supply stability. The water shutdown will be in effect from 8:00 AM on July 21 to 5:00 AM on July 22 during construction.

Areas affected include the following neighborhoods: Shangtian, Renmei, Yuanben, Datong, Xinrong, Meixi, Yangming, Yangmei, Shuimei, Yongping, Ruiyuan, Shuangrong, Qingshan, Gaoshang, Gaoshan, and Gaorong in Yangmei District.

In Pingzhen District: Songwu, Zhenxing, Shuanglian, and Gaoshuang; in Xinqu District: Jiudou, Puding, Qinghua, and Touzhou. All surrounding alleys and adjacent areas are included. The total number of affected households is estimated at approximately 15,588. (Editor: Chang Ming-kun) 1150716
