The Taiwan stock market plunged over 600 points during trading but found support at lower levels, closing with only a minor loss of 6.61 points, holding above the 45,600-point mark.
The weighted index ended at 45,624.98 points, down 6.61 points, or 0.01%, with trading value shrinking to NT$900.838 billion.
