(Central News Agency reporter Yu Hsiao-han, Taipei, July 16) In response to the Executive Yuan's policy to improve compensation for military personnel, civil servants, and public educators, Chunghwa Post has announced a two-phase salary adjustment plan. Starting in July 2025, all employees will receive a fixed raise of NT$2,000 to NT$4,000. From 2026 onward, a 4% across-the-board salary increase will be implemented for all staff.

On the 2nd, the Executive Yuan approved a 4% general salary increase for military, civil servants, and public educators in 2026. Additionally, professional allowances and supervisory allowances will be increased by a fixed amount of NT$2,000.

The Chunghwa Post Labor Union has advocated for postal employees to be included in the same salary adjustment as military and public sector workers. The first phase, effective July 1, 2025, grants all employees a NT$2,000 raise, with supervisors receiving an additional NT$2,000, resulting in a maximum increase of NT$4,000. Starting in 2026, all employees will receive a 4% salary adjustment.

According to the Chunghwa Post Labor Union, Chairman Wang Kuo-tsai has strongly supported the initiative, and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has also agreed in principle to the adjustment. The two-phase raise is expected to result in an overall increase of approximately 6% to 10%.
