Optical communications manufacturer Vishwave will list on the Emerging Stock Market on July 16. Chairman Chen Xiao-Sheng stated that rapidly growing AI computing demand is driving high-speed optical communications from 400G toward 800G and 1.6T generations. Vishwave leverages continuous wave (CW) lasers as its core technology, integrating external light sources (ELS) and high-speed optical modules to deliver core light sources for AI data center optical engines, actively capturing opportunities in the high-speed optical interconnect market.

Vishwave has paid-in capital of NT$338 million, with Yuanta Securities as the lead underwriter. In a press release today, the company stated that rapid development in AI applications and continuous upgrades in data centers have significantly increased demand for high-speed transmission, driving sustained growth in operations. In 2025, consolidated revenue reached NT$733 million, a 146.3% year-on-year increase. Operating profit was NT$11.66 million, and net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was NT$6.72 million, representing year-on-year increases of 129.4% and 201.4%, respectively. Earnings per share (EPS) for 2025 were NT$0.23.

Vishwave reported that consolidated revenue for the first quarter of 2026 reached NT$232 million, a 98.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025, primarily due to continued growth in shipments of high-speed optical communication products.

The company adopts a vertically integrated operating model, covering wafer design, key optical components, and high-speed optical communication module manufacturing. This enables control over core technologies, supply chains, and cost competitiveness. Vishwave independently develops distributed feedback (DFB) lasers, high-power continuous wave lasers, and key high-speed optical communication components, which are already applied in optical transceiver modules and bidirectional optical sub-assemblies (BOSA). The company plans to further enhance product integration capabilities, supply chain stability, and customized service advantages.

Vishwave specializes in the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of high-speed optical and network communication products. Key products include high-speed optical transceiver modules, active optical cables (AOC), high-speed copper cables (DAC), external light source modules (ELS), and continuous wave laser chips (CW Laser Chip). These products are used in AI data centers, high-performance computing, cloud services, and high-speed switches, aiming to capture global growth opportunities in high-speed transmission demand.

To meet the continuously growing demand from AI data centers and the high-speed optical communications market, Vishwave has initiated the construction of a new factory in Zhongli, with full-scale production scheduled to begin in October this year. The new facility will not only expand business and R&D space but also serve as a key production base for high-end products.
