Following significant rainfall across Tainan over the past 24 hours, the municipal government has activated flood relief measures for residents. Households experiencing flooding reaching a depth of 50 centimeters or more are eligible to apply for a subsidy of NT$15,000.
The Tainan City Social Affairs Bureau announced in a press release that the emergency relief program, triggered by the June 25 heavy rain event, follows a principle of 'expediency and simplification.' District offices have been directed to accelerate the inspection and verification process to ensure prompt disbursement of funds, helping affected citizens recover as quickly as possible. Residents whose homes were flooded to 50 centimeters yesterday or today may file an application.
The Social Affairs Bureau stated that applicants should submit their identification, proof of residency, and a copy of their bankbook cover to their local district office. To expedite the verification process, residents are encouraged to provide photographs clearly showing the water levels or high-water marks within their homes. In cases where photographic evidence is unavailable, district offices will dispatch personnel to conduct on-site inspections. Once eligibility is confirmed, the relief funds will be processed and disbursed immediately.
