According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck off the coast of the southern Philippines today. This seismic event occurs less than three weeks after a major earthquake in the same region resulted in over 80 fatalities.

Reports from Agence France-Presse (AFP) indicate that the earthquake occurred at 7:42 PM local time. The epicenter was recorded approximately 21 kilometers southwest of Sarangani province on Mindanao Island, with a focal depth of 65.7 kilometers.

Authorities have not issued any tsunami warnings following this earthquake.
