Taipei (Central News Agency) June 24 – As Typhoon Meari approaches Taiwan, Tigerair Taiwan and STARLUX Airlines announced revisions to their flight schedules between Taiwan and Okinawa this evening, urging passengers to monitor the latest updates.

According to the Central Weather Administration, as of 2:00 PM today, Typhoon Meari was located at 21.7 degrees north latitude and 124.7 degrees east longitude, moving north at 11 kilometers per hour.

Following China Airlines' announcement to advance and upgrade aircraft for its CI122/CI123 Taoyuan-Okinawa flights tomorrow, Tigerair Taiwan stated that flights IT728/IT289 (Kaohsiung-Okinawa Naha), IT793 (Okinawa Naha-Taichung), and IT232 (Taoyuan-Okinawa Naha) will be rescheduled earlier. Passengers are advised to use the 'Flight Status' function on the Tigerair Taiwan official website.

STARLUX Airlines indicated that its flights for tomorrow have been rescheduled: JX302 (Taichung-Okinawa) will depart at 8:00 AM; JX303 (Okinawa-Taichung) at 11:35 AM; JX312 (Taichung-Okinawa) at 1:15 PM; and JX313 (Okinawa-Taichung) at 4:45 PM. The airline requests that travelers check for real-time flight updates prior to departure.
