(Tehran, Central News Agency, June 22 — international wire reports) The first round of talks between the United States and Iran, mediated by Pakistan and held in Switzerland, concluded successfully. Iranian state media reported that President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit Pakistan tomorrow.

According to the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Habibollah Abbasi, Director of Public Relations at the Presidential Office, stated that one of the purposes of President Pezeshkian’s visit is to thank Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for "facilitating the mediation of U.S.-Iran relations."

Reuters reported that today, Prime Minister Sharif confirmed the successful conclusion of the U.S.-Iran talks in Switzerland.

On the social media platform X, Sharif posted: "The consultations were held in a positive and constructive atmosphere and achieved encouraging progress, including mutual agreement on a roadmap to reach a final agreement within 60 days, the establishment of a high-level committee for political oversight, and the initiation of further technical-level discussions."
