According to the company, the Operations Control Center identified the switch anomaly at 11:53 AM and immediately dispatched technicians to the track area per standard operating procedures. Operations were restored after the track was inspected and confirmed safe for passage.
The system returned to normal status at 12:18 PM, with a total delay of 5 minutes and 57 seconds reported. While headway adjustments were finalized by 2:00 PM, the specific cause of the failure remains under investigation and will be thoroughly inspected during off-hours tonight.
Taoyuan Metro Corporation issued an apology for the inconvenience caused. Passengers requiring delay certificates may obtain them via the company's official website or at station information counters, excluding the unmanned A20 Xingnan Station.
