20-Year-Old Man Missing Following Dive at Liuxiagu Recreation Area in Taoyuan

Taoyuan City Fire Department received a distress call at 3:19 PM today regarding a water accident at the Liuxiagu Recreation Area, located on Liuxia Road in Fuxing District. Reports indicate that three individuals were swimming at the site when a 20-year-old man, surnamed Chuang, jumped into the water and did not resurface. Search and rescue operations are currently underway to locate him.

The Daxi Precinct of the Taoyuan City Police Department stated that the individual had visited the area with friends. After the man failed to resurface following a jump into the water, his companions immediately alerted the authorities. Emergency responders and search-and-rescue personnel arrived at the scene promptly and are continuing their efforts to locate the missing individual.
