On the evening of the 19th, a woman in her 50s, surnamed Lin, fell into a 3-meter deep construction culvert while walking near the intersection of Bali Avenue and Zhongshan Road, Section 2, in New Taipei City. The New Taipei City Fire Department received the report around 7:00 PM and successfully rescued her using a rope pulley system.

Lin sustained an injury to her left ankle and was transported to Linkong Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. She remains in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries. Initial reports indicate that traffic cones were placed around the culvert; however, local authorities from the Luzhou Precinct of the New Taipei City Police Department are currently investigating the specific circumstances surrounding how she fell into the pit.
