The Taiwan men's gymnastics team, represented by Tang Chia-hung, Lee Chih-kai, Hung Yuan-hsi, Chuang Chia-lung, and Hsiao Yu-jan, finished 5th at the Asian Gymnastics Championships in Zunyi, China, with a total score of 238.762. This result secures their spot in this year's World Championships.

According to the rules, the top five teams in the qualifying round gain entry to the World Championships held in the Netherlands this October. A top-three finish at the World Championships would further provide a pathway to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Taiwan's team performance was calculated based on the top three scores across six apparatuses: floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar. The team finished 5th, edging out 6th-place Uzbekistan by a narrow margin of 0.101 points.

Head coach Lin Yu-hsin noted that this accomplishment serves as a significant morale booster. He credited the success to the team's targeted training for specific apparatuses and the collective contribution of all athletes.

Individually, Hung Yuan-hsi placed 7th in the all-around (78.865), and Chuang Chia-lung placed 14th (76.432). In the individual apparatus qualifiers, Tang Chia-hung advanced to the horizontal bar final (3rd, 14.633) and rings final (5th, 13.700). Lee Chih-kai qualified for the pommel horse final (6th, 14.000), while Hung Yuan-hsi advanced on the parallel bars (6th, 14.000).
