Fatal Collision in Tainan's Xinhua District: Truck Driver Flees Scene

On June 13, a collision between a truck and a motorcycle occurred on a flood-prevention road in Lunding Village, Xinhua District, Tainan City. The 29-year-old motorcycle rider, surnamed Chang, succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital. The driver of the truck abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled.

According to the Tainan City Police Department’s Xinhua Precinct, the incident took place around 11:00 PM. Police have reviewed surveillance footage from the surrounding area and preliminarily suspect that the truck driver may be a foreign migrant worker. The case is currently being investigated under the direction of the Tainan District Prosecutors Office.
