(Central News Agency reporter Xie Yixuan, Taipei 18th) The Ministry of Economic Affairs announced that its state-owned enterprises, including Taiwan Sugar, Taipower, CPC Corporation, and Taiwan Water Corporation, will recruit 589 new staff members this year. The recruitment guidelines were published online today, covering 22 different categories, with a monthly starting salary at each company of over 46,000 NTD. With excellent performance evaluations, it is estimated that by the fifth year of employment, the monthly salary can reach up to 65,000 NTD.

In a press release, the Ministry of Economic Affairs explained that in order to accelerate the turnover of personnel in its state-owned enterprises, improve human resource structures, and inherit core technologies and experience, it will conduct a joint recruitment exam for new staff with college-level education or above for the 115th fiscal year.

The ministry stated that the total number of vacancies is tentatively set at 589. The companies involved include Taiwan Sugar, Taipower, CPC, and Taiwan Water. The preliminary (written) exam date is October 18, 115, to be held in Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, and Hualien.

This recruitment includes 22 categories, including business management (74), HR (13), finance/accounting (24), international trade (3), information (32), statistical information (6), information security (35), administrative integrity (15), legal (7), land administration (5), civil engineering (50), architecture (7), mechanical (72), electrical (145), instrumentation (30), environmental engineering (15), occupational safety and health (6), livestock/veterinary (4), agriculture (3), chemistry (12), chemical engineering (27), and geophysics (4).

Regarding the starting salary, the ministry clarified that it is currently around 46,000 NTD per month. Employees with excellent job performance can expect their monthly salary to rise up to 65,000 NTD by the fifth year. (Edit: Lin Jiaxian)
