Young Liu, Chairman of both the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA) and Foxconn, stated on the 18th that TEEMA is planning science parks in Arizona and Texas (USA), Mexico, Poland, and India. The US projects are expected to see clarity by the end of this year, with implementation targeted within a year. Liu also mentioned ongoing surveys of the Indian market over the past two months. Regarding Poland, Foxconn is expected to finalize a contract with EMP (Electro Mobility Poland) by year-end to design and manufacture EVs locally, with technology provided by Foxconn and Foxtron.

Liu emphasized that the TEEMA parks will focus on three key supply chains: AI Data Centers (AIDC), Smart Cities, and Electric Vehicles (EVs). This 'Science Park 3.0' model aims to provide the same policy incentives as major corporations, ensure market access, and offer a living environment similar to Taiwan. The parks will be smart-centric, featuring production zones, public facilities, and residential areas.

The initiative responds to global trends such as supply chain restructuring and geopolitical shifts. Through a 'big leading the small' strategic cooperation, TEEMA aims to support Taiwanese SMEs in their overseas expansion, enhancing the international status of Taiwan's electronics industry. Partners like TECO and CTCI will assist in construction and research, while a financial consortium including Citibank and CTBC Bank will provide funding solutions.
