(Central News Reporter Li Xianfeng, Hualien County, July 17) The highly anticipated summer water play event 'Jhica Xuan Play Water Fun' in Hualien, popular among families, will open on July 4th. This year, the event has upgraded children's water play facilities and planned four themed day series activities, making it a top summer water play destination in Eastern Taiwan.

The '2026 Jhica Xuan Play Water Fun' summer water play event, organized by the Hualien County Government, will run from July 4th to August 23rd, with water play available from 9 AM to 5 PM daily, except Tuesdays when the water play area is closed.

The Hualien County Government stated that the Jhica Xuan water play event is the most representative summer brand activity in the East, attracting over 100,000 visitors annually. This year, the event features four themed days, combining water play facilities, parent-child interactions, specialty markets, and creative experiences to offer different surprises and fun for visitors each time.

The first week of this year's event kicks off with the 'Fruit Spirit Battle' theme, showcasing Hualien's specialty agricultural products. On the opening day, 200 limited-edition water guns will be given away for free, along with the appearance of a mysterious child guest. The event will also feature specialty markets, fun challenges, and diverse experience activities to accompany children and adults alike in their summer vacation fun.

Chen Shuwen, Director of the Hualien County Agricultural Department, explained that the four themed days during the event include the 'Fruit Spirit Battle' on July 4th and 5th, the 'Water Wave Chill Summer Festival' combining DJ electronic music and bubble parties on July 18th and 19th, the 'Dad Water War Day' suitable for family fun in August, and the 'Yuzu Summer Fragrant Day' integrating fragrance, nail art, and water play experiences. Different themed activities will be enjoyed with the public.

Additionally, during the event period, visitors who bring their own picnic mats on themed days can receive a toy water gun after staff verification, with a daily limit of 100 guns. The park also features free air pumps, large photo-op floaties, and specialty DIY experience activities, providing visitors with more diverse recreational choices. The park entrance fee remains at NT$50 for cleaning and maintenance.

The Hualien County Government reminds visitors to wear swimwear as required and follow all safety regulations to create a safe and friendly recreational environment for all.
