New Taipei City Joint Wedding Registration Now Open with Chance to Win European Honeymoon Tickets

The '2026 New Taipei City Joint Wedding' will take place on September 5 at a banquet hall in Xinzhuang District, with registration open from today through June 26, limited to 100 couples. The city government announced that selected couples will receive exclusive wedding rings, accommodation vouchers, home appliances, and a chance to win round-trip air tickets for a European honeymoon.

New Taipei City Deputy Mayor Liu Ho-jan stated at a press conference that this year's joint wedding, themed 'Love in New Taipei, Forever United,' will provide a fashionable wedding ceremony for 100 couples, allowing newlyweds to exchange custom wedding rings and create lasting memories in New Taipei City.

Liu emphasized the city's pro-marriage and pro-natal policies, which include pre-marital matchmaking events, joint weddings, post-marriage egg-freezing subsidies, 'Good Pregnancy Shuttle' services, and childbirth incentive payments to support citizens in building families with peace of mind. He also praised the city's 'Golden Shovel' gift, noting that according to city statistics, recipients of the Golden Shovel have shown an 80% pregnancy rate based on subsequent moon cake gift reports.

Lin Yao-chang, Director of the Civil Affairs Bureau, stated that this year's selected couples will receive handcrafted wedding rings from Caoshan Metalwork, a choice of one from three home appliances, an accommodation voucher for the Chiang Chieh Golden Tulip Hotel in Tamsui, as well as a fingerprint-matching couple's cup gift set from Xinwang Ceramics and a tea gift box.

On the wedding day, nearly 50 prize items worth close to NT$700,000 will be raffled, including round-trip air tickets to Venice, Italy, and routes to Japan and South Korea, fully automatic Italian espresso machines, dishwashers, air purifiers, hair dryers, and robotic vacuum cleaners. The winning rate will reach 50% of all joint wedding participants.

Additionally, the Civil Affairs Bureau noted that couples who become pregnant within one year after marriage will receive a 'Good Pregnancy' moon cake gift box, a baby welcome gift, and a DIY newborn clothing experience voucher. Alternate couples registered in New Taipei City will also have the chance to win accommodation vouchers, dining coupons, and couple meal vouchers. Registration ends at 5:00 PM on June 26. Unmarried individuals registered or employed in New Taipei City are eligible to apply. If more than 100 couples apply, a public lottery will determine the final list of participants.
