Central News Agency Report (Reporter: Yang Ssu-jui, Tainan, February 16)

A Wu surnamed man from Tainan City crashed into a utility pole in February while attempting to evade a police check due to drug-impaired driving, resulting in injuries to five children in the vehicle. Police traced the source of the drugs to a Chen surnamed drug dealer who publicly claimed to provide a 'one-stop' solution for various narcotics. This led to the subsequent arrest of 10 additional drug distributors.

Wu Shang-chien,队长 of the Seventh Investigation Unit of the Tainan City Police Department's Criminal Investigation Brigade, stated during a media briefing today that last year, authorities received reports that the Chen suspect was selling large quantities of drugs to unspecified individuals. He openly advertised the ability to 'purchase all types of drugs in one place,' personally delivering narcotics upon receiving orders. To evade police detection, he maintained no fixed residence.

According to Wu, after months of surveillance and evidence collection by the Seventh Investigation Unit, the Chen suspect was apprehended on January 12 this year. Authorities seized first-grade narcotics including heroin, second-grade narcotics such as amphetamines, etomidate powder, etomidate-infused e-liquids and cartridges, mixed-type drug-laced 'coffee packets,' unlicensed bullets, and a riot control gun. Notably, nearly 100 grams of etomidate powder were confiscated—enough to produce approximately 10,000 'zombie vape cartridges.'

The Chen suspect was subsequently remanded by the Tainan District Court and transferred to prison to serve his sentence. In February, during the investigation into the Wu suspect's drug-related traffic accident, police discovered the drugs originated from the same Chen dealer. Expanding the probe, authorities arrested 10 additional drug distributors. All suspects have been transferred to the Tainan District Prosecutors Office for prosecution under the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act. (Edited by Chang Ya-ching) 1150616
