A primary school in Dajia District, Taichung City, has come under scrutiny after a teacher who is also a parent was accused of long-term bullying of a colleague. The incident reportedly occurred when the parent-teacher, dissatisfied with their child's academic performance, made a phone call to the homeroom teacher, using abusive and humiliating language, resulting in significant psychological distress for the recipient.
According to the school, they have interviewed two teachers involved. The homeroom teacher stated that the caller spoke in an extremely loud and aggressive manner. In contrast, the parent-teacher claimed the call was merely to express concerns about their child's schoolwork.
A local resident posted on the Facebook page 'I Love Dajia 2,' exposing the alleged bullying by the 'teacher-parent' and criticizing the school administration for being 'passive and inactive.' The post questioned whether it would take another campus tragedy for school leadership to take action and urged teachers to carry recording pens and hidden cameras to fully document incidents and protect their rights and personal safety.
The school confirmed that no formal complaint has been filed by the homeroom teacher as of now. The academic affairs office is currently handling the matter, and the school stated it will follow legal procedures if a complaint is submitted.
