(CNA website) According to an announcement released by the International Astronomical Union (IAU/WGSBN), asteroid number 208663, discovered in April 2002, has recently been officially named 'Xu Xiyuan'. Entertainer Hsu Hsi-hsuan (Little S) posted on social media: 'Sister, you have truly become a star in the sky, lighting up all my darkness'.

The announcement issued on March 16 by the Working Group for Small Body Nomenclature (WGSBN) of the International Astronomical Union states that the asteroid, originally designated '2002 GF11', was discovered by Yang Kuang-Yu, former president of the Hong Kong Astronomical Society, in Arizona. The naming citation reads: 'Xu Xiyuan, known by her stage name Big S, is a Taiwanese actress and television host who became a shared cultural memory for global Chinese-speaking audiences through her television works in the early 2000s, and has presented a new image distinct from traditional female roles through social media.'

On April 14, Hsu Hsi-hsuan (Little S) celebrated her 48th birthday and took the opportunity to honor her sister Xu Xiyuan (Big S), writing: 'Sister, you have truly become a star in the sky, lighting up all my darkness'.
