Miao Ke-li Takes the Baton as Taipei Film Festival Host, Embracing the Challenge Despite Fears

(CNA Reporter Hong Su-jin, Taipei, 12th) The Taipei Film Festival awards ceremony will be held on July 11th, with actor Miao Ke-li taking on the role of host. She admitted to feeling fearful but will strive to embrace the challenge, stating, "This is an important chapter in my life's script, and I believe I can perform it well."

Miao Ke-li accepted the task of hosting the 28th Taipei Film Festival awards ceremony. Through a press release, she expressed that her heart was initially filled with fear and disbelief. After some struggle, the courage to accept came from the impermanence of life. "Surrender and acceptance are the changes I have expected of myself this past year. For everything that comes my way, I will accept it, be grateful, and do my utmost to do it well."

Speaking about the preparation process, Miao Ke-li mentioned that she has reviewed past Taipei Film Festival awards ceremonies and observed the styles of various excellent hosts. The biggest challenge lies in single-handedly carrying this important ceremony, requiring her to study a large number of nominated films and gain an in-depth understanding of every nominee.

Regarding the highlights of the ceremony, Miao Ke-li laughed and said, "Even if my appearance doesn't shock people, it should at least be enough to make them feel a sense of freshness." She described her current state as "extremely nervous, yet feeling loved."
