(CNA, Taipei, June 11) Ophthalmic pharmaceutical company TAI-SIN PHARMA announced today that it has signed a licensing agreement with Samil Pharmaceutical, granting exclusive commercialization rights for its new drug APP13007 (0.05% Clotrimazole Propionate Ophthalmic Suspension) in the Vietnamese market.
TAI-SIN PHARMA stated that Vietnam performs approximately 300,000 cataract surgeries annually, with stable market demand growing at 5% per year. The annual sales of Vietnam's ophthalmic corticosteroid market reach USD 4.26 million. Leveraging Samil Pharmaceutical's expertise in ophthalmic drugs as a core business focus, TAI-SIN PHARMA expects this partnership to significantly boost the sales of its new post-operative inflammation and pain treatment drug APP13007 in Vietnam, bringing positive impacts to the company's financial and business development.
Regarding Samil Pharmaceutical, TAI-SIN PHARMA noted that the company was established in 1947 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. It is a pharmaceutical company with specialized knowledge in ophthalmology, hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal medications, and central nervous system drugs.
