(Kuwait City, 11th, Comprehensive foreign reports) Iran conducted an airstrike on Kuwaiti territory this morning, forcing a temporary closure of its airspace. Kuwaiti authorities later stated that the attack damaged the airport radar and resulted in injuries.
According to AFP, this is the second time in over a week that Iran has attacked Kuwait's only international airport. A drone attack on the 3rd of this month killed one Indian national and injured 63 people.
In a letter to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Kuwait's civil aviation authority stated: "The airport radar was attacked this morning."
The letter also mentioned that the attack "caused injuries and brought serious damage and losses to the radar facilities, equipment, and air traffic control systems."
Earlier, Kuwaiti authorities had announced that airspace had been reopened for civilian aircraft after a brief closure following Iran's latest attack. (Translation: Yang Chao-yen) 1150612
