June TAIEX Futures Fall 2,146 Points

(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 8) The Taipei stock market closed down 1,568.16 points today, ending at 43,502.78 points. June TAIEX futures settled at 43,080 points, down 2,146 points, representing a backwardation of 422.78 points compared to the spot index.

Taiwan Futures Exchange set the opening reference prices for the nearest two-month index futures contracts at 45,226 points for June futures and 45,317 points for July futures.

The Taiwan stock market closed down 1,568.16 points at 43,502.78 points, with a trading value of NT$1.132531 trillion.

June TAIEX futures settled at 43,080 points, down 2,146 points, with a volume of 108,010 contracts. July futures settled at 43,107 points, down 2,210 points, with a volume of 1,708 contracts. The actual closing prices are subject to the announcement by the exchange. 1150608
