Lihpao Land stated that sudden strong winds and a sudden rainstorm triggered the safety mechanism, halting the ride for approximately 8 minutes. All 20 passengers were safely evacuated.
According to a post on social media by a passenger, a group on a school trip was on the roller coaster and it stalled just as it was about to dive. It then started to rain, and they waited for rescue while getting wet.
Lihpao Land Resort stated in a press release that at 10:40 a.m., the roller coaster's safety mechanism was activated due to sudden strong winds and a sudden rainstorm, halting the ride for about 8 minutes.
