(CNA, by reporter Lu Kang-chun, Hsinchu City, 8th) At a sewage project construction site in a rezoned area next to Xinzhuang Railway Station in Hsinchu City, three workers suffered from suspected oxygen deprivation in a confined space this afternoon, with two foreign migrant workers becoming trapped. Police and fire departments were notified and dispatched personnel and vehicles to the scene. All three workers were conscious and sent to the hospital without serious injuries.
The Hsinchu City Fire Bureau reported via a message that they received a call from the public at 3:22 PM today, stating that two people were unwell at the sewage project site in the rezoned area next to Xinzhuang Railway Station. Personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene.
According to police and firefighters, there were a total of three male workers at the site. One Taiwanese man had already escaped on his own before their arrival. The other two trapped individuals were migrant workers from Vietnam and Myanmar. Ambulance personnel immediately brought equipment to reach the patients, administered oxygen on the spot, and subsequently assisted in their rescue before transporting all three to the hospital.
