(Central News Agency, Taipei, 7th) A senior executive of US aircraft manufacturer Boeing said on the 6th that the company can provide aftermarket parts support in conjunction with China's order to purchase 200 aircraft.

After US President Trump visited Beijing in mid-May, China agreed to purchase 200 aircraft from Boeing.

According to Reuters, Chris Raymond, CEO of Boeing Global Services, said in an interview that as long as the relevant parts are "parts approved for global sale," there will be no problem for China to obtain them.

He also pointed out that Boeing has a parts warehouse in China.

Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg has previously stated that the agreement for China to purchase 200 aircraft will be finalized later this year, and that this order is only the "first order" of what could be a much larger transaction in the future.

The report indicates that China's Ministry of Commerce stated that under this Boeing deal, the US needs to provide supply guarantees for aircraft engine parts and related components to China.

Raymond said that in terms of flight hours, most regions are still showing moderate to good growth; despite the ongoing Iran conflict, demand for aircraft modifications remains.

He added that parts such as engine components and cockpit windows, which Boeing distributes, are still affected by supply chain shortages, and the supply situation remains challenging.

Furthermore, Raymond said his division is cutting costs by improving efficiency through analytical technology, rather than through layoffs. (Editor: Lu Jiarong / Chen Kaiyu) 1150607
