(CNA, Taipei, 7th) Xinhua News Agency reported that an accident involving a collision between a van and a truck occurred this morning in Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province, China, resulting in 6 deaths. The accident investigation and follow-up work are currently in progress.

According to the report, citing information from the Propaganda Department of the Jiuzhaigou County Party Committee, the accident happened on China National Highway 247, which connects Jiuzhaigou County to Wen County in Gansu Province. A van carrying 6 people collided with a truck, causing 3 deaths at the scene, while another 3 died after rescue efforts failed.
