(Central News Agency, Washington, 5th, Combined Foreign News) US President Donald Trump said today that Iran still has "21%, 22%" of its missiles left, adding that ultimately "they have no choice" but to reach a deal with the United States. Iran fired dozens of missiles at neighboring Persian Gulf states this week, leaving the US-Iran ceasefire hanging by a thread.

In an interview with NBC News, Trump said: "They still have capability, they still have some missiles and drones. I would say, percentage-wise, they probably have 21%, 22% of their missiles left."

According to AFP, this figure for Iran's missile stockpile is higher than the 18% Trump mentioned in May. He has previously often claimed that the US has completely destroyed Iran's fighting capability.

According to the NBC News website, Trump said today that the Iranian leadership has not reached a deal with the US to end the war because they are "tough" and "proud," but he also said that ultimately "they have no choice" but to reach an agreement.

Iran's military said today that it had fired "warning missiles" at two US destroyers in the Gulf of Oman, but the US military immediately denied this.

Kuwait said two days ago that it had intercepted 30 ballistic missiles during "Iran's vicious act of aggression." (Editor: Lu Yingzi) 1150606
