(CENTCOM, Washington, 6th, Comprehensive Foreign Report) U.S. military officials stated that Iran fired seven ballistic missiles at its Persian Gulf neighbors Kuwait and Bahrain on the 5th. This came hours after the U.S. reported intercepting four Iranian "one-way attack" drones.
According to an AFP report, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) released a statement on the social media platform X, saying that U.S. forces had intercepted six of the missiles, while the seventh "missed its intended target."
The statement noted, "There are currently no reports of U.S. personnel casualties, and Iran's claim that the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain was damaged is false."
On the other hand, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that it had launched attacks on "enemy bases" in the Persian Gulf region after the U.S. military conducted an earlier airstrike on an Iranian radar station.
Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported that the Revolutionary Guard stated: "Following the U.S. military's invasion of Sirik and Qeshm Island, enemy bases in the region were attacked by missiles."
