(CNA, by reporter Kao Hua-chien, Taipei, 6th) Taiwan's National Housing and Urban Regeneration Center announced today that it will add a 'Waitlist Progress Query' function to its 'Anjuhaoshi' online social housing rental system website, with an expected launch in the fourth quarter of this year. This will allow waitlisted individuals to check their waitlist position and progress in real-time, reducing uncertainty during the waiting period. As for the waiting time for 'moving in from the waitlist,' it will be gradually optimized as operational data accumulates.

After the results of the central social housing lottery are announced, waitlisted individuals are often concerned about their position and move-in timeline. The National Housing and Urban Regeneration Center stated in a written release that the current 'Anjuhaoshi' system already provides 'Application Status Query' and 'Lottery Result Query' functions, allowing the public to instantly track their application review status, lottery results, and the progress of subsequent procedures like contract signing and unit selection.

The Center said it will next add the 'Waitlist Progress Query' function, expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year. Waitlisted individuals will be able to use the system to check their current waitlist position and progress in real-time to reduce uncertainty during the waiting period.

The Center explained that regarding the estimated waiting time for 'moving in from the waitlist,' the first batch of central social housing projects only began to be occupied from December 2025. The 14 social housing sites currently occupied have all been for less than a year. At this stage, there is still a lack of sufficient experience to accurately estimate the waiting time for each community. Furthermore, different communities have different waiting situations due to variations in the number of units, location conditions, and resident turnover.

The Center stated that it will subsequently build up data related to the waitlist for each social housing site as operational experience accumulates, and will simultaneously optimize the query function to make the system's information more aligned with the actual situation and better meet the public's needs.

The Center pointed out that, additionally, central social housing currently allows tenants to choose their own lease start date, which can be postponed for up to three months. This allows people to flexibly plan their move-in schedule according to their relocation, work, and family needs. This measure is superior to social housing offered by other local governments and has received positive feedback from tenants. (Editor: Zhai Si-jia) 1150606
