Hon Hai (Foxconn) May revenue hits NT$859.4 billion, record high for the month; Q2 outlook beats expectations

Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn) announced its May consolidated revenue of NT$859.409 billion on Thursday, a month-on-month increase of 3.28% and a year-on-year increase of 39.57% compared to the same period in 2024, setting a new record for the month. The company's cumulative revenue for the first five months of the year reached NT$3.821098 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 31.79%, also a record high for the period.

Looking ahead to the second quarter, Hon Hai reiterated that the second quarter is traditionally a low season for the ICT industry, with major products undergoing a transition between old and new models. However, AI server racks are expected to maintain their growth trend.

Based on current visibility, Hon Hai noted that its second-quarter operational outlook is significantly better than its previous forecast of notable sequential growth, but it continues to monitor the impact of the volatile global political and economic landscape.

Comparing the four major product lines to April, Hon Hai explained that consumer smart products saw strong growth compared to April. Cloud and networking products saw continued demand driven by AI, but remained roughly flat due to alignment with customer shipment schedules. Computer terminal products and components and other products experienced a slight decline due to pull-in momentum effects.

Compared to the same period in 2024, Hon Hai stated that cloud and networking products benefited from strong AI product pull-in demand, showing robust growth. Computer terminal products and components and other products also saw strong growth year-on-year, while consumer smart products showed significant growth.

Looking at the performance of the four major product lines in the first five months of the year, Hon Hai pointed out that cloud and networking products showed strong growth compared to the same period last year. Components and other products benefited from increased other income and shipments of key components related to its main business. Consumer smart products showed significant growth, while computer terminal products remained flat.
