(Central News Agency, reporter Guan Ruiping, Miaoli County, 5th) The results of the Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students were announced today. The Miaoli County Government stated that three students in the county achieved perfect scores of 5A10+ with a Level 6 writing score. One of these students is from Gongguan Junior High, a non-urban school, demonstrating the results of balanced educational resource development.

The Miaoli County Government's Education Department pointed out that in this year's exam, the three students who achieved perfect scores are from Gongguan Junior High, Zhaonan Junior High, and Junyi High School. Gongguan Junior High, a non-urban school, produced a top-scoring student, while Zhaonan Junior High and Junyi High School have produced top-scoring students for two consecutive years. Although the three students have different learning experiences and backgrounds, they all demonstrated self-discipline, proactive learning, and perseverance.

Gongguan Junior High stated that in recent years, the school has continuously improved its curriculum and teaching quality through mechanisms such as teaching research meetings, collaborative lesson planning, learning support, after-school tutoring, and regular learning diagnostics. These efforts help students solidify their foundations and enhance their abilities. The school also conducts precise analysis of students' learning situations and provides individual counseling. Homeroom teachers have invested significant effort in life management, emotional support, and academic guidance to help students face the exam in their best condition.

The Education Department stated that this year, the number of high-scoring students (5A5+ with a Level 5 writing score or higher) at Zhaonan Junior High, Mingren Junior High, Yuanli High School Junior High Division, and Jianguo Junior High increased by 20% to 30% compared to last year. Zhunan Junior High and Jiantai High School also achieved excellent results of 5A10+ with a Level 5 writing score. The number of students at Zhaonan Junior High achieving 5A10+ with a Level 5 writing score or higher tripled compared to last year.

The Education Department pointed out that in addition to the outstanding performance of top students, the proportion of students needing improvement in all five subjects has also decreased across schools this year, demonstrating the concrete results of the 'nurturing top talent, strengthening the middle, and supporting the weak' education policy.

Notably, the Miaoli County Government has been actively promoting reading and writing education in recent years. This year, the number of students achieving a 'Level 6' writing score increased significantly by 30%, and the number achieving a 'Level 5' score increased by nearly 150. In addition to traditional prestigious schools like Junyi, Zhaonan, and Jianguo performing well, students from small and medium-sized schools such as Yuanli High School Junior High Division, Zhimin Junior High, Wumei Junior High, and Wenying Junior High also achieved perfect writing scores, demonstrating the results of core competency education.
