Results of the 2026 Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students Announced; Testing Center Releases Statistics

(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 5, Reporter Chen Zhizhong) The results of the 2026 Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students (CAP) were made available for online inquiry today. The Psychological and Educational Testing Research and Development Center at National Taiwan Normal University also released related statistics in the morning, including the percentage distribution of students by 'grade level and label' for each subject. This information is designed to assist the 182,000 examinees in participating in the subsequent non-exam admission process across 15 school districts.

The 2026 CAP, which affects the academic future of 182,000 students, was held on May 16 and 17. Results are available for online inquiry today, and score reports have been mailed. Applications for score review will be accepted from June 7 to 8.

The Psychological and Educational Testing Research and Development Center had already published the 'Grade Level and Label vs. Number of Correct Answers Reference Table' on June 3. To achieve the highest 'Advanced' level score of A++, students could miss up to 2 questions in Chinese and Social Studies, up to 3 questions in Science, needed a weighted score of 98.14 in English (including listening), and a weighted score of 91.60 in Mathematics (including non-choice questions).

The center will later publish further details, including the 'Percentage Distribution Table of Students by Subject Grade Level and Label,' the 'Percentage Distribution Table of Students by Overall Ability Level Category and Writing Test Score Level,' and the results of the writing test and mathematics non-choice question scoring, to help students better understand their performance.
