Nantou County Water Service to Transfer to Taiwan Water Corporation's 11th District Office in July; User Rights Unaffected

(Central News Agency, reporter Xiao Boyang, Nantou County, 4th) The water supply in Nantou County, operated by Taiwan Water Corporation's 4th District Office, will be transferred to the 11th District Office starting July 1. Taiwan Water Corporation stated that Changhua and Nantou counties are both located within the Wu River and Zhuoshui River basins, and their water source development and supply dispatch are highly correlated. The goal is to build a more resilient and efficient water supply network.

The 4th District Office of Taiwan Water Corporation previously covered Nantou County. To improve regional water supply management efficiency and integrate the water supply systems of Changhua and Nantou, the 11th District Office will incorporate the various operational offices in the Nantou area into its jurisdiction starting July 1. This integration aims to deepen water supply infrastructure in Nantou County and create a more stable and secure water environment.

The 11th District Office, headquartered in Changhua City, Changhua County, issued a statement today stating that the jurisdiction transfer will be carried out under the principle of 'uninterrupted service and uncompromised quality.' To ensure user rights, related business handovers, system integration, and personnel deployment are being completed sequentially. After July 1, users can still handle water consultations, bill payments, and service applications at their original service points, or call 1910 for inquiries. All water usage rights, payment methods, and contract terms will remain unaffected.

The 11th District Office stated that the Nantou, Caotun, Zhushan, Puli, and Shuili operational offices, originally under the 4th District Office, will be officially transferred on July 1. After the integration, the 11th District Office's jurisdiction will cover Changhua County and Nantou County. Through flexible dispatch, localized professional services, and the re-division of operational areas, the aim is to effectively improve water supply stability and emergency response efficiency.
