Integrity Agency Holds Flood Prevention Seminar, Emphasizing Risk Warning Mechanisms

To address extreme weather and the challenge of 'drought first, then flooding,' Agency Against Corruption (AAC) Director-General Hsieh Ming-kuan hosted a seminar on flood prevention and disaster preparedness today. Hsieh instructed integrity units to assist agencies in establishing mechanisms for 'prevention during normal times, cooperation during disasters, and review after events.' The integrity units are not replacing professional judgment but are assisting in reviewing procedures and internal controls from an integrity risk perspective to ensure preparedness. The focus is on ensuring compliance in emergency procurement and disaster repair projects to enhance overall disaster resilience.
