Taipei Clinic Under Investigation for Suspected Hidden Camera Removal

According to the Central News Agency, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office has launched an investigation into the Stork Fertility Clinic in Taipei following reports of suspected marks left behind after the removal of hidden cameras. On June 1, prosecutors directed police to search the clinic and summoned the clinic's person-in-charge, surnamed Hsieh, and the on-site manager, surnamed Lin, for questioning. Both individuals arrived at the prosecutor's office in the evening. When contacted by a CNA reporter, a representative from the clinic stated that all relevant inspections comply with regulations and that they are cooperating with the investigation. The Taipei City Police, in coordination with the Department of Health and the Fire Department, discovered the holes during a joint anti-voyeurism inspection on May 12 and subsequently requested the District Prosecutors Office to take over the case. Authorities are continuing to investigate whether any illegal activities occurred.
