Li Chuan Accused of Invading Rival's Stronghold; Su Chiao-hui Says 'Every District Needs Progress'

KMT New Taipei mayoral candidate Li Chuan held campaign events in Shulin District for two consecutive days, leading media to question if he is encroaching on the stronghold of DPP candidate Su Chiao-hui. Su stated that every district needs progress, while Li asserted that all 29 districts are his home base. Su campaigned at the Banqiao Chaoyang Market this morning, stating that New Taipei City is diverse and every district requires improvement. Regarding Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an's support for Li, Su said she could not comment on the details of her opponent's controversies but noted she has also been subject to attacks. Li, at a meeting in Shulin, stated that as mayor, he represents all 29 districts and no single district belongs to any one person. He also addressed the Financial Revenue and Expenditure Act, criticizing his opponent's stance on the issue.
