Mainland Chinese woman involved in sex work in Kinmen; military personnel under investigation

According to the Central News Agency, a health spa in Jinhu Township, Kinmen, was found to be facilitating illegal sex work involving a mainland Chinese woman on a tourist visa, with reports suggesting military personnel had visited the establishment. Such actions may violate the military's 'Justice Project' counter-intelligence regulations if not properly reported. The Kinmen District Prosecutors Office launched an investigation on the 22nd and raided the spa on the 24th. The manager, surnamed Wu, was released on NT$100,000 bail for violating the Criminal Code and the Act Governing Relations between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area. Prosecutors are investigating the case due to national security concerns. The Kinmen Defense Command stated that seven soldiers are being questioned for potential violations of the Social Order Maintenance Act and that they are cooperating with judicial authorities while conducting an internal investigation to uphold military discipline.
