Fu Jen Catholic University and University of Canberra Sign Sister-School Agreement

Fu Jen Catholic University President Lan Yi-jen led a delegation to Australia today and visited the University of Canberra (ACT). The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Student Exchange Agreement, officially becoming sister schools. The signing ceremony was conducted by President Lan and University of Canberra Deputy Vice-Chancellor Michelle Lincoln, with representatives from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Australia in attendance. According to Education Secretary Li Wei-chen, the partnership originated from a visit by the University of Canberra to Fu Jen last June. Supported by the Ministry of Education's 'Foreign Guest Invitation Project,' the agreement marks a new milestone in Taiwan-Australia educational cooperation. The student exchange program will officially launch in the 2027 academic year. Future collaborations will include a '3+1+1' degree pathway and joint research in art, design, management, and health promotion. President Lan expressed hope that this partnership would deepen cooperation in English-taught courses, sports science, and nutrition, enhancing international perspectives for students and faculty.
