Man Attempts to Open Emergency Exit on Sunan Ruili Airlines Flight; Subdued by Crew and Passengers

A male passenger on a Sunan Ruili Airlines flight from Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, attempted to open the emergency exit door yesterday after takeoff. He was subdued by crew members and other passengers. The flight eventually landed safely in Changchun, Jilin Province, and the man was handed over to the police. Netizens posted short videos on social media showing that on flight DR5015 from Changzhou to Changchun on the 26th, a man attempted to open the emergency exit, sparking heated discussion. One passenger posted that the man was walking back and forth in the cabin after takeoff and was wearing a down jacket in the hot weather, acting strangely. Videos from the scene show multiple crew members and passengers working together to subdue the man and secure him with restraints. Sunan Ruili Airlines reported today that during the cruise phase of flight DR5015 on the 26th, a male passenger was walking in the aisle. The crew repeatedly advised him to return to his seat, but he refused to cooperate. To prevent safety risks, the crew monitored him closely. The passenger then lingered in the emergency exit area (rows 21-22) and attempted to touch the door. The crew and security personnel immediately intervened and, with the help of other passengers, successfully subdued him and moved him to the back of the cabin. The airline stated that due to the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the cabin during flight, the emergency exit door cannot be opened manually, and the incident did not affect flight safety.
