Penghu Cross-Sea Marathon Returns in November with Lobster at Aid Stations

The Tourism Administration announced today that the highly anticipated Penghu Cross-Sea Marathon will take place on November 1. Aid stations will feature local Penghu delicacies, including large lobsters, squid balls, and squid. The Penghu National Scenic Area Administration held a press conference today for the '2026 Penghu Autumn Sports and Leisure Carnival,' announcing the 'Penghu Hopping Bike 101K' on September 20 and the 'Penghu Cross-Sea Marathon' on November 1. Huang Yi-cheng, Chief Secretary of the Tourism Administration, noted that Penghu, known as one of the 'Most Beautiful Bays in the World,' is ideal for sports tourism. He invited cyclists and runners to experience the charm of Penghu in the comfortable autumn season. In addition to sports, the administration will host music festivals and light shows to sustain tourism momentum. Onion, a member of the band Nine One One, serves as the promotional ambassador. The marathon is a point-to-point race, passing landmarks like the Cross-Sea Bridge and basalt columns. Finisher medals feature a special design in collaboration with artist Hung Yi.
