(CNA) US President Trump said today he is in no rush to reach a good deal to end the Iran war, adding that the Iranian regime's strategy of waiting for change will not succeed because "I don't care about the midterms." Trump dismissed concerns about the political impact of the war, stating, "They think they can outlast me, thinking: we'll just wait, he has midterms." He added, "I don't care about the midterms." Trump noted his confidence in reaching a deal soon, though he warned he is currently unsatisfied with the terms. "We are not satisfied now, but we will be sooner or later. Otherwise, we will have to finish it." He also viewed the restoration of Iran's internet as a sign of the regime's weakening, stating, "Their entire economic system has collapsed." The New York Times reported that after 88 days of total blackout, Iranians are finally returning to the internet, though its stability remains uncertain.
