Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an Presents City Key to Jensen Huang: 'Taipei is NVIDIA's Home'

Central News Agency, Taipei, May 27. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will attend the company's Taiwan employee meeting held at the Beitou Shilin Technology Park (Beistech) today. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an stated that he has prepared a key to Taipei City to present to Huang, representing that Taipei is NVIDIA's home, and that both sides will work together to open the door to the AI development era. To celebrate the launch of the NVIDIA Constellation project, NVIDIA is holding the employee meeting at the T1718 base in Beistech. When asked by the media about what topics he would discuss with Huang, Chiang said they could talk about anything, including Taipei's role in the future of the AI industry and how to work with NVIDIA to open the door to an era of AI innovation. Chiang mentioned that the breakfast provided at the venue, Fuhang Soy Milk, reminded him of the semiconductor industry's origins half a century ago. Regarding energy issues, Chiang said that Huang has repeatedly expressed that Taiwan needs more energy to drive economic growth, and Taipei welcomes more companies while hoping for stable power supply. Regarding the construction schedule of NVIDIA's Taiwan headquarters, Chiang stated that the city is providing full administrative assistance and accelerating the review process.
