## 〈Seminar Objective〉
The Circular Economy (CE) is advancing across numerous product sectors, demanding that plastics also adapt. This seminar will provide detailed explanations regarding the significance of CE and how to manage plastics from the perspectives of recycling, biomass utilization, and biodegradability. First, it will outline the generation of plastic waste, marine pollution issues, and the trends in national initiatives and regulations. Next, it will discuss the significance of circulating value within the CE framework and how environmental measures for plastics should be structured. Moving into specific areas, it will cover technical developments and utilization trends in plastics recycling—particularly horizontal and chemical recycling, which are central to CE—as well as bioplastics (biomass-based and biodegradable). Furthermore, the speaker will present actual cases of development and practical application. Finally, looking towards the future, it will discuss the establishment of comprehensive recycling systems to support CE, and the business opportunities arising from inclusive measures that combine recycling, biomass utilization, and biodegradability.
