Cloudbase Inc. has announced that its cloud security platform, 'Cloudbase', has started supporting the latest international security standard, 'PCI DSS v4.0.1', for AWS environments. As cashless payments become more widespread, driving the need for more advanced security management, Cloudbase will assist Japanese companies in rapidly achieving secure cloud operations that comply with the latest standards.

With this update, 6 new diagnostic items have been added, and 136 existing items have been mapped to PCI DSS v4.0.1, enabling security evaluations based on the most current international standards.

Development Background

Cloudbase has been providing compliance check functions that adhere to 'PCI DSS', the international security standard for protecting credit card information, to customers including financial institutions.

We had heard from customers that the previous 'PCI DSS v3.2.1' is already outdated and struggles to address the latest risks. At Cloudbase, we emphasize not just meeting standards (Compliance) but achieving effective risk elimination (Security). By promptly adapting to the latest v4.0.1, we aim to provide an environment where customers can identify 'risks that must be tackled now' without hesitation and ensure essential safety.
