Construction AI Course Truly Usable On-Site, Finally in Okinawa! Generative AI Practical Seminar for Construction Engineers [5th Session - Okinawa]

The generative AI practical seminar, which has received high praise from participants for being "truly usable on-site," has been decided to be held as the [5th Session - Okinawa (Thursday, June 11th & Friday, June 12th, 2026)]. In Okinawa's construction industry, the average age of skilled workers has reached 56, the highest level nationwide, making securing new talent an urgent issue. Acquiring AI skills is no longer a "choice" but a condition for "survival." This course is eligible for the Human Resources Development Subsidy (up to 75% assistance), and the subsidy is expected to conclude in fiscal year 2026. It is recommended to take the course within this fiscal year to utilize it.

This seminar is jointly organized by CIVIL CREATE Inc., Japan Multimedia Equipment Co., Ltd., okicom Co., Ltd., and the General Association for the Promotion of Generative AI Utilization (GAIS). Why is AI Skill Necessary for Okinawa's Construction Industry Now?

The average age of construction workers in Okinawa Prefecture is 56, the highest level nationwide, and over 50% of companies recognize "securing and developing young workers" as their biggest management challenge. With the overtime work regulations applied in April 2024, the traditional project management dependent on long working hours has reached its limit. Furthermore, with the completion of Shuri Castle's main hall in autumn 2026 and the full-scale launch of the National Resilience Plan, construction demand continues to expand. The utilization of AI is indispensable to cope with increasing work with limited personnel.

Not Just "Construction Plans." A Super Practical Program That Transforms Careers and Knowledge with AI.

In the 5th session, the curriculum has been significantly expanded to include not only the automatic creation of construction plans but also knowledge management utilizing Google's NotebookLM and career path design using the Will/Can/Should framework. The content allows participants to master "re-designing work styles based on AI" in two days, going beyond mere tool operation.

Thorough Guidance System by 3 Instructors

In this seminar, three instructors with practical experience in the construction industry and knowledge of AI utilization will provide guidance. With a generous system of 3 instructors for 20 participants, detailed support tailored to each individual's work content and proficiency level will be realized.

• Shogo Nagata (CIVIL CREATE Inc.): Possesses extensive expertise including civil engineering experience, DX, and practical training in the construction division. Creates added value with on-site data and generative AI, active at the forefront of construction DX.

• Yutaka Ishikawa (Kenlog Co., Ltd.): Experienced in construction management, procurement, and BIM promotion at a major general contractor, promotes cost management and business reform as a construction industry-specialized consultant, and instructs on practical application of generative AI.

• Haruna Yokoo (Mori-gumi Co., Ltd.): Involved in DX support from construction industry back-office, and a practitioner who has bridged BIM/CIM and ICT utilization to the field. Conveys AI utilization from the perspective of "users on-site," just like the participants.
