## Special Event 'Planetarium Night on the Galactic Railroad' at Toyohashi Audiovisual Education Center

Toyohashi Audiovisual Education Center will hold a special event titled 'Planetarium Night on the Galactic Railroad: Kenji's Universe Guided by Shinobue and Readings' on Saturday, July 11.

This event is an immersive experience program featuring Kenji Miyazawa's masterpiece 'Night on the Galactic Railroad,' combined with live readings, Shinobue flute performances, and a starlit sky projection. The program will introduce the stars and the Milky Way that Miyazawa, an avid astronomer, likely viewed, allowing the audience to enjoy a fantastic journey through the galaxy alongside the protagonist, Giovanni.

Since its opening in 1974, Toyohashi's planetarium, equipped with a 15-meter horizontal dome and capable of projecting approximately 40 million stars, has been a beloved science experience facility. While it has previously collaborated with various genres such as jazz and rakugo, this marks the first time it has focused on 'literature'.
