[Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture] Let's Play to Your Heart's Content Under the Blue Sky! "Children's Festival" to be Held on Saturday, May 9!

Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture, will hold the "Children's Festival" on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The event aims to foster a rich sense of humanity in children by nurturing their independence and creativity, and through interaction with various organizations active in youth development.

Full of Fun and Experiences! The 20th Children's Festival

A special day packed with children's "fun!" is coming to Tomi Central Park!

Its name is – the "Children's Festival."

This event marks its 20th anniversary.
At the venue, there will be plenty of fun activities for children, including cotton candy making, slime making, balloon art, stone painting, kick target, and more!

In addition, the very popular Fluffy Clown, an exhibition of special vehicles that will excite children, Nagano Prefecture's PR character "Alp-Kuma," and Tomi City's official characters "Kyonta-kun" and "Pururu-chan" will also come to play.

Tomi City PR Booth and National Sports Festival PR Booth also appearing!

This year, as part of Tomi City's PR project, a free capsule toy will be available!
The message of the capsule toy is:
"Please have a grape from Kyonta-kun!"

Please come and get a grape from Kyonta-kun. The contents are a surprise!
*Registration with the city's official LINE account is required to participate in the capsule toy.

Furthermore, this year, in conjunction with the Shinshu Yamanami National Sports Festival to be held in Nagano Prefecture in Reiwa 10 (2028), Tomi City will also set up a booth for the competition it is in charge of, where visitors can experience boxing mitt striking and other activities.

In addition, a variety of booths designed to excite children will be lined up, allowing them to enjoy using all five senses.

Tomi City's outdoor event boasts a high clear weather rate. (In case of rain, it will be held indoors.)

*In case of rain, it will be held at the First and Second Gymnasium (please bring indoor shoes).

*Parking is limited, so please cooperate by carpooling.
