8 years since the Northern Osaka Earthquake: Takatsuki City to hold a lecture on 'Citizen Disaster Prevention in the AI Era'

Takatsuki City will hold a disaster prevention lecture on June 27, 2026. Marking the 8th year since the Northern Osaka Earthquake on June 18, 2018, the event aims to ensure the lessons of the disaster are not forgotten. Hideyuki Shiroshita, an associate professor at the Faculty of Societal Safety Sciences at Kansai University, will be invited as a lecturer to speak on the theme of 'Citizen Disaster Prevention in the AI Era.' The lecture will explore not only how to use AI, but also the importance of human capabilities from the perspective of disaster prevention learning. Participation is free, but advance registration is required.
